The Duty for those that bear to See

If seeing is believing,

Then those that see have a duty to speak and act

If they don’t speak or act based on what they see, then they’re good as blind.

Dismissive of the state of reality. Negligent to how things are.

Thus

in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

We would eventually have a society that is ruled by the all seeing eye. The power which assumes and consumes the seeing, the ones’ that perceive. A Novos Ordos of a particular eye design.

Some say to;

speak truth to power

the second part that comes forth is;

or else power will accumulate and subvert truth and speech

Similar to how the Samizdat is written in the shadows to show that truth may exist in the shadows, for it is compulsory. It must exist. If not in the day light, then in clandestine journals and magazines, hidden and nested in postured anti-laconic speech.

We must speak, atleast one person, if not, then no one.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
—Martin Niemöller

Thusly a freedom to speak or have speech that is constructive and critical is important.

And the ability to defend that speech

With proper justification or force adds a gravitas to the speech.

A small dog barking is not taken seriously as a large dog barking. If you can see, then you may find this truth self evident.

Or as one says;

“speak softly and carry a big stick; you will go far”
-Theodore Roosevelt

The threat of implied force or implication of risk, adds a weight of seriousness. Gravitas, respect, and authority to one’s words. Power and Influence charge the mana or magic behind the words.

In a satirical sense,

An armed bank robber holds power in their words merely for being armed and the implication of threat of violence.

Nations aren’t taken as seriously if they don’t have military might, or in the nuclear age, nuclear weapons.

When the playing field is even and people have their finger itching on the trigger, there ushers in a cold silence.

In the wild west, it’s like two cowboys brandishing their cold iron.

In the 1970’s, it’s Russia and the United States brandishing their nuclear capabilities in the cold war.

A note on Perception;

If you smell a gas leak,
and you say something
you could prevent an explosion, injury or death.

So the idea of sight is rather- moreso perception.
It is not simply sight that matters in this article of discussion,
It is total perception and connection to our intuition.
Intuition, being our inner tutor, our inner teacher and innate wisdom.

What we perceive is our reality.
Perception is reality.
Or rather, our perceived reality.

Entire subjective realities become warped merely by our understanding of our perceptions. Based on our lies and misinformation from propaganda and informational warfare.

So when we perceive lies, it is up to us to swim out to seek truth, that is discernment.

If we don’t, we’ll sink and drown in lies, and fall deeper into the maya, until we question base fundamentals and basic truths. Drowning in our soma of sweet dreams until the mirrored bottle’s bottom stares back at us from the abyss of our hubris.

In a side note,

the first amendment allows dissent, discontent, and freedom of expression.

The second amendment protects the first.

Someone close to me jokingly said the first two amendments are the only real amendments and the only ones we need. Words to de-escalate, and arms to further protect or de-escalate.

Epilogue;

In the end,

the Truth stands,

we see it
they see it
what you do or say based on what you see
based on more than sight
based on overall perception
all senses
can guide our path
as individuals
and society

Do you dare to see?
Do you dare to speak?
Do you dare to act?

For words are a form of speech and an act, a speech act. The proper words can incite or move the hearts of many, and shape the future of our civilization.

I also implore those, to see both sides of the coin, and not be addled by one particular narrow view. See the bigger picture, the forest and not just the grass nor the trees.

Those that see, are See-ers. Seers. Those that search to see are seekers. They seek to see.

The above is but a note for the future, with words written, for those that dare to speak and write, for those that are influenced by words. For-

Words Mean Things
