Ancient Cultures and Dreams

This is an excerpt from the internet;

The ancient Toltecs believed that life is a dream, and that people are always dreaming, even when they are awake. They believed that behind the veil of waking reality is a spirit realm that is hidden from human senses. They also believed that each person lives in their own personal dream, and that all of these dreams together make up the Dream of the Planet.

The Ancient Toltecs were a group of native pre-Columbian Mesoamerican cultures or tribes that existed since the early Circa 900AD. They have many great wisdoms on living life and how to forge a path forward through many positive practices like forgiveness and authenticity.

In part, I want to dive into the dream state reality, the sort of Original Simulation theory that the Toltecs also talked about. There are many other cultures that talk about the Maya or Dream reality, and even my Native Asian Tribal origin roots talk about Dreams in our greetings and expressions.

So the Toltecs say that we build our waking reality through our dream reality. If you really think about it, we can’t bring anything out of a dream other than ideas, emotions, feelings, and words.

So the idea of something, before it becomes true in our reality, before it manifests itself, has to be preconceived or inoculated and impregnated into our minds. The name of this idea would be encompassed in a few words for it’s description. A lightbulb of a thought is a seed in the mind garden.

Thus we construct everything around us from our ideas and dreams.

Someone had a dream to have a lighthouse, a lightbulb, a flying airplane, a car, a house, etc. And People helped to build it to make it substantive and real in this reality.

My parents had a dream to immigrate to the United States and that’s why I exist here in the US. Many other immigrant families from the dawn of the Colonies also shared such the same dream.

When we have an idea, we attach a word to it or try to describe it with words. Then we take action to build it.

We essentially speak things into existence.

For instance, one version of the Bible has Psalm 33:9, “For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm”

What we speak is a sort of spell or wish or prayer into the world. To enchant ourselves and those around us to psyche our psych-e to believe more and more into the dream that we are weaving. To create a tapestry of our reality that we live through.

You’ll often find that if you surround yourself with comedians, you’ll speak more jokes. If you surround yourself with business people, you’ll talk more money. If you surround yourself with a mirror reflection of the vibrational frequency that you resonate with, you and the others will match that vibration and speak more and more into existence. If you surround yourself with academics, there will be more discussions furthering theories and science. When surrounded by craftsmen, more discussion will be had about their craft. All of this can further the thing being discussed, even through challenges or collaboration.

As the Norse proverb says;

“Iron sharpens Iron”

When there are enough words spoken, enough ideas shared, something may come into existence. The ideas and implanted seeds of thought grow to bloom and bear fruit.

Sometimes great ideas come from the chaos of a back and forth random banter. Sometimes the ideas are more determined from people speaking on a specific topic or subject matter.

I guess the question is, how much talk translates to walk? I’m sure the answer varies from person to person. Talk the talk, walk the walk. When will action come out from the thoughts and sayings that you receive or preach.

As a bonus;

The power behind the act of doing something to manifest a vision or idea is called Willpower. When we will things into existence, it becomes a battle for those that will for it to be and for those that will for it not to be. Everyone’s will is fighting to manifest their desired dreams or goals in the future, to have what they desire or will.

If we seek for a win-win proposition, you can find synergy in other people’s wills. Building their dreams may help to build yours. Building a Dream is akin to taking a dream and making it a reality, a building is a construct after all- how much of our reality is self constructed?

The Will of the World is also considered as the Cosmic Flow in the Dao, and many people fight to go against it, combine it, steer it, profit from it, speed it, slow it, or more.

Just as the Toltecs said from above;

They also believed that each person lives in their own personal dream, and that all of these dreams together make up the Dream of the Planet.

The Will of the Planet, the Dream of the Planet, has a flow and it is the Great Flow. Perhaps there is a greater flow and a greater will or a Grand Dream. Perhaps.

Epilogue;

The world around you, and the future that has yet to come, were all once ideas and thoughts that lead into a chain reaction of actions that lead us here and towards the future.

What sort of thoughts do you have? What sort of thoughts do you feed? Who feeds the same thoughts?

Are these thoughts gearing towards manifesting a future that you desire? Are you taking the action to bring the Talk to a Walk? Are your thoughts influencing your actions and turning actions into habit? Is that habit building character and forging the Destiny that you desire?

Sometimes with a journey, you may have to go alone until you find the relevant people that are meant for the path you are taking. A recluse hermit or a madman in an attic, until your delusions become their reality. Often times, when you go far enough into the thing that sparks your joy, you’ll find your tribe along the way, and the Universe will (or the Universal Will) conspire and co-create with you to make it come true.

It all starts with the thoughts we have, that are in essence words,

Words Mean Things
