Ancestral Spear

I have for you, dear reader, a poem I wrote about Ancestry. Then I will give to you, a small essay, followed by ramblings. For I have found that to be an amusing use of mine time and yours.

The Poem;

Your parents
had parents
Who had parents
and that goes far back
before the oldest written history

your DNA
is an archive
with each change
from each lineage
and each interaction

Nations of the borne
people have had a hand
in your DNA
whether through them
or by people they meet

You are
The tip of a spear
ancestral lineage
An ambassador
the representative
of your blood lines

You are worth more
than you think
and they’re rooting for you
since the roots of your being

Your ancestors are ascendents
You are a descendent
One that can alter futures
of nations yet unborn
Through growth and evolution
may you become a transcendent

Whether the child be yours
or through interactions
of the people you meet

Know that
Your Ancestors exist
and you existing
is proof of that

The Essay;

Remember, you reading this, are an existence that is the tip of a spear. You are the warrior from a long long ancient history of warriors, explorers, inventors, artisans, magnates, merchants, and survivors. The culmination of your parents’ parents from the very beginning of Human History have lead to the singularity that is you.

You are the tip of your Ancestral Spear.

You are the thing that many generations before strove to make. Will you also accomplish great feats for Human Kind? Or will you pass the torch for your progeny to toil in their own make? Perpetuating the Human-kindness.

As your life is in the make, know that there’s honor in it. There’s honor in surviving. There’s beauty in the pursuit, in living. In both knowing and not knowing.

Yourstory is, of course, yours.

So point your Ancestral Spear to that which you desire, and know that you are not alone, for you are an army of many strong.

The Rambling;

Anyways, you don’t have to be smart or dumb to know something that is true and self evident.

As it turns out, if you presuppose that parents are a ‘thing’ and thusly you can extrapolate that it’s reasonable and beyond a doubt that parent’s parent’s are a thing. So on and so forth.

What’s cool about this is the fact that this applies to all living things that generate or have progeny. So the birds, the bees, the dogs, the trees, fungi, even flowers, and so on have ancestors.

Even the tiny insects and bugs that you may disdain or avert your eyes to have ancestors.

What’s even crazier, is that, depending on your view of the afterlife, transmutation of life-and-death, or what lies beyond the veil, the belief in ancestry means that you have some sort of grounded frame of reference to call upon your ancestors.

Because, well, your ancestors exist, and you’re proof of that.

As a side note, you should really be well advised to call upon your benevolent or ascended ancestors. For our bloodlines are somewhat crossed between tribes and nations that aren’t too fond of eachother. Even a Bastard Child is still a child, so be wary of all sorts of ne’er do well within your blood lines.

And I do mean Blood Linesss, Plural, for you’re the culmination of many threads going through the eye of the needle that is you. Yourself.

Yea, I don’t need to be a magician to tell you that you have ancestors. If you doubt the reality of the world, well, that’s atleast a very prominent truth that you can reasonably latch onto. I personally wouldn’t get attached, because it’s not the recursive truths that I like (for instance, No Safe Bets, or Words Mean Things, are recursive truths because they prove themselves). But believing that you have ancestors and taking that truth as faith is a very very small leap of faith for many. Outside of those Head-in-a-jar type thinkers, but those people would then have to answer the theory for a Head being in a jar, which Occam’s razer would then make them think themselves foolish. But alas, they’re atleast trying. Lol.

Epilogue,

Thank you for reading this information, hopefully it was insightful and allows you to connect to a very grounded belief in Ancestry and our origins. This is a rather safe pill to recognize and swallow for a majority of people, and this can help heal past wounds and trauma and even generational trauma by helping mend ties.

Cheers, and remember all of this was written with words. Because, well,

Words Mean Things
