If stories have a self fulfilling prophetical effect on reality.
And if we believe that fact is stranger than fiction,
or reality is stranger than fiction.
Then it’s likely that all possible thoughts and pieces of fiction are a simulation of the simulacra of reality.
Meaning that the image of reality is casting a shadow called fiction. Meaning fiction is a subset of reality itself.
Meaning, if we have fictional stories, then it becomes true at some point in some time. Will that fiction happen in our timeline or in the near future?
If there’s a non-zero possibility, then there is a higher chance as we have more people read into the self fulfilling prophecy itself.
So Those who tell the stories, rule the world.
The World being the Flow, the Dao, The Way, the Universe. Those who tell the stories have a hand on the steering wheel of their own reality, and partially, yours as well.
The stories that we believe and tell ourselves have the very power and energy to create whole universes.
The Meaning that we assign to things, the stories that we write in our heads. The Stories that we assign to our past events, even our judgements and opinions are a form of stories. Swaying our emotions like that of a thriller or a solemn tone.
So those who hold the Pen are indeed Mightier in writing the story. (Although, your pen can be a sword that writes in blood as well).
Point being, those who hold the Pen are the Authors of the Story.
Those who listen to the Author’s story, fall into the Author’s Authority.
Thus is the Authority to write the stories that shape our lives and ourselves.
The Grand Narratives of our lives or of our civilizations. Those stories shape and define us, as well as the stories we tell ourselves.
Epilogue,
Take heed in the knowing that those who write the stories are the ones that shape the world.
I hope one day you choose to pick up the pen and write your story, to be what you want it to be and see to it that the story has it’s fair share of twists and turns as you make the ending, well, hopefully a happy one.
Because,
Words Mean Things.
